Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions about my services it’s more than likely you’ll find the answer below in our frequently asked Questions (FAQs). Please read through them carefully as they should provide you with all the assurances you may need.

This will depend on the nature of the problem and will be discussed in the consultation.

Ideally weekly, depending on why Therapy is required, your progress and  your availability; however there can be flexibility in this if this is not possible.

The consultation is the time for you to talk about what has brought you to therapy and explore where you feel improvements are needed without any pressure. This takes place in a confidential, safe non-judgmental environment to make you feel absolutely comfortable. It is also a time for you to tell me what you are expecting from therapy. This will also be the time for you to sense if you are comfortable with me being your therapist in your journey of self-discovery and healing. Following this we will discuss a treatment plan and fees.

Initial consultation is about 90 minutes; all subsequent sessions are 60 minutes.

This is something we decide together and usually a natural ending occurs, felt both by you and me. With short-term therapy this is usually established in the initial consultation.

There is no compulsion in stopping therapy. This is a journey of self-discovery, change and healing, by no means should this journey reach a destination when you feel you want to travel further.

Please contact me as soon as you realise you are unable to keep your appointment, so it can be offered to someone else. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be liable to pay full fees of the session missed.

Not at all if you are not comfortable, there is always Skype and telephone counselling
